It took me until 2023 and I was still nervous BUT I DID IT and I’m not going back, holy shit, this is so much better in so many ways
Seconding that “ladies boypant briefs” were total bullshit for me, too. Try the long inseam boxer briefs, folks. Try it. Do it.
I’m pretty sure Eddie Izzard said something like this in an interview. ‘When the dress was in the store, it was a woman’s dress. When I bought it, it became my dress.’
And that’s how I look at my clothing – once I buy it, it’s mine and no longer gendered.
Reminds me of the time I bought red socks from the “ladies” section of the store. They’re MY socks now. I’ll never understand why footwear is gendered at all.
First thing I’m buying when I move out!
Speaking a cisfemale, here, if you haven’t already tried “men”s undies, whoever you are, reading this, and wherever on the gender spectrum you happen to be travelling, go and buy some in your size and try them. They are so much more comfortable than the stupid “ladies underwear” I thought I had to wear for all those years. And if people happen to see them, well, in my experience if they even notice they just say “oh cool”, because at that point they’re someone who is lucky enough to see you undress, so that seeing your underwear is just plain exciting. The myth about them having “more in front” and being “baggy at the front” is a myth. If you’re the owner of internal plumbing, they fit just as fine as if you have external. “Ladies boypant briefs” were not at all comfortable. But these. They are soooo comfy. Go try them today!
Also, ladies underwear does not come in “Superman”, “Batman”, or “Dr Who”. I rest my case.
