Topaz Comics is comic making duo: Max Parker (writer), and Jey Pawlik (artist)
Together they create queer comics for anthologies, zines, and their own webcomics.

Updates Tuesdays

One-shot comics just for fun! Short self-contained stories about original or other fictional characters (mostly Lupin III) to practice comic layouts and styles on.

On Hiatus

A 4-koma slice-of-life comic about Daven and his rambunctious partner Pokemon, Darumaka! Daven and Darumaka move to Alola for school. Is Alola ready for Darumaka?

The book cover of "Gender Slices". A drawing of myself is split into three panels. The first being my forehead in blue. The second is my eyes in purple. The third is my mouth and chin in pink. The title "Gender Slices" reads in the first and last panel. The background is a wave of white, blue and pink, being the trans colours. At the bottom reads "Jey Pawlik"

Updates Occassionally

A collection of short autobiographical comics about being trans and nonbinary in a ciscentric world. Jey works through their own feelings in short, one page comics that depict their day to day experience. New pages are occassionally added as an HRT Diary follow-up.

Pilot Chapter Complete

When the country’s head master is cursed by an amulet, to regain his standing, Vasilios volunteers to search for The Curse Eater. Rumours say this person is immune to all magic, including curses. This is a pilot chapter and not the full comic!

The book cover "Dead City", drawn with choppy black line art and coloured with greens, blacks and yellows, showing Mikael and JP kneeling next to one another holding their own backpack straps with a dark Toronto skyline behind them as the sun sets. The bottom reads "Michelle Parker and Jey Pawlik"

Complete

A zombie apocalypse has hit Toronto and Mikael and JP are alone in the city and struggling to survive. While they’re searching for food and shelter they fine something else as well. A slice-of-life, romance that’s more about surviving together than zombies.
