Something I think about often, what do people really do when I’m not around them? Do they still find transmisogynistic jokes funny? Do they think about things like that? I know I think about it because it’s my life, it’s what I deal with on a daily basis. I want people to understand. Because it hurts even seeing it still portrayed in the media.

I have an NB friend who was using a gender when I dated them, so occasionally I slip up when talking about them in general. Apparently though they have cut other friends out for misgendering them even by accident, in normal conversation… I respect their gender identity, I will use any pronouns they prefer, I just have to know what they are (they don’t talk to me anymore and I have NO idea if there’s a reason beyond us just drifting apart as friends)

Much happier when my other NB friends poke me and go “you’ve been saying ‘x'” and I can go “ahh shoot, thanks for catching that!” and correct.

Also re-watched Ace Venturer Pet Detective recently and found myself as mad as I was as a child when stripping a person down was deemed “fine” to “prove” their gender. Also that everyone started spitting even though they’d obviously not kissed that person for a while. Hated it.
