Page 5 of the short 6 page comic Michelle and I did for the Bear Company Vol. 2 anthology. The minotaur was a lot of fun to design and draw, but I also really like that a lot of people call the human Theseus. It’s not quite the original minotaur story so it can be… Continue reading House At The Center – 5

Page 4/4 of the comic we did for the Lupin/Zenigata zine: Love & War. I’m so pleased with how this comic turned out, I don’t usually colour comics but this needed the pop of colour especially on this page. Thanks for reading. Alola, Darumaka will return next week! Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1: You might've seen this icon before. It's the RSS icon. But what is RSS? RSS is an update feed for a website. Every time the site publishes a post, article, comic page, etc. the feed is updated. Most websites have a RSS feed. Panel 2: You'll usually find it in a site's menu. It might also be on a sidebar or the footer. Panel 3: But if I click on it it's just a bunch of code! What gives? What am I supposed to do with it?! Panel 4: This is where you'll need a feed reader like feedly!

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1: One, on Feedly click the follow button. Two, copy the URL from the site's RSS button and add it to the search box. Panel 2: Three, this will bring up the feed for the site. Four, Add it by clicking the follow button. You can also search the name of the site without the RSS link but it's more accurate if you have the link. Panel 3: Add the new feed to a folder. Panel 4: Now the feed will appear on your Feedly when it updates! Panel 5: What I did was get the Feedly add-on for my browser. So every time a site I follow updates the extension lets me know! Panel 6: Clicking the title of the update opens the site in a new tab. I personally like seeing content on it's own site. But you can set everything up so you only ever need to open Feedly.

Comic page giving a mini tutorial on what an RSS feed is. Panel 1:If you run a site make sure your RSS button is easily accessible. The URL will usually be something like yoursite.com/feed or yoursite.com/rss. Panel 2: Be sure to follow your own RSS feeds to make sure they're updating properly. This way if it goes down for whatever reason you'll be able to catch the problem before your readers miss too many updates. Panel 3: And that's all there is to it! It's very customizable so play around with it to see what works for you! Panel 4: No fuss. No algorithms. Just the updates you choose to see! Hey! My favourite comic updated!

Up on a lake I'm sitting on a paddle board with my six year old nephew. As he's staring off into the distance, thinking deeply about something he asks me "Jey, you're not a girl like mommy are you?" I'm clearly excited to be having this conversation with him and respond "No, I'm not a girl but I'm also not a boy like you or your dad." My nephew thinks about this and says "Okay! And you can still be my first-mate right?". I tell him "Of course, Captain!" where I'm beaming with excitement over his response as we paddle on wards!

Michelle and I did a comic for the Lupin’s Gourmet World zine. How it worked was chef’s submitted recipes and an artist got paired up to each recipe to illustrate it. We got Sel’s eggnog recipe, which I did actually make myself successfully! Michelle also had some pickle recipes in the zine and will be… Continue reading Lupin’s Gourmet World: Eggnog

Comic page, 2 panels. Panel 1 shows a young Lupin and Jigen, where Jigen is facing the left and angrily bending himself forward while Lupin is behind him worried and reaching a hand out. Jigen’s yelling “Lupin! I’m gay! …okay?”. Panel 2 shows an open panel with no borders or background, a shoulder up shot of Lupin’s concerned face. Lupin says “So?”

Comic with four panels, done in black and white with halftones. Panel one shows a young Jigen with his back to the camera and his shoulders tense. He says “So…?” Panel two, a larger panel with a close up shot of his face as he turns around and looks to the right, his expression is pained and there’s a tear in his eye. He yells “Doesn’t that bother you?!” Panel three is a wide panel with young Lupin in the center from the shoulders up. He’s mad as Jigen accuses him. He says “No. Should it?” Panel four is an open panel of the two boys looking at each other from a side view. Jigen is leaning back away, while Lupin leans in closer with a determined and expectant expression.

Page 2/3 of this little short comic about Jigen. Comic with three panels, done in black and white with halftones. Panel one floats atop a big open panel. Young Jigen is startled and unsure of himself, he says “N-no…” Panel two is a big open panel with no borders or backgrounds, it shows a confident young Lupin with his hands on his hips and his eyes closed. He says “I mean my grandpa is into guys too, you know. So I know what’s up!” Panel three is a big wide panel with Jigen in the center from the waist up. He’s blushing and looking down and to the left with his shoulders by his ears, still a bit tense, but smiling now. He says “Uhh, yeah. Okay. Cool.”
