Welcome to the May Hiatus! Every year I take a month long break from comics to go to some local conventions; if you’re going to TCAF or Anime North I’ll be at both wandering around!
The first guest comic is by Kabber!

OKAY- hear me out.. I’m fluent in Spanish and whenever there is an enby I just say ‘elle’ instead of el or ella
As someone who language can hardly handle non-binary thing and most likely doesn’t even have the pronouns I fell that
I know right!! I’m Spanish and what I really hate about our language is not being able to treat new people I meet without explicitly saying the binary pronouns I assume they use, and if you try to use inclusive language, people make fun of you 🙁
I mean it doesn’t bother me personally because I’m an nb femme so she/her pronouns are okay for me but I don’t want to misgender my nb pals 🙁
Yeah, “Elle” is pretty much a joke for most people. Just mentioning the word causes uncomfortable giggles all across the room. Thus, as a person with lots of trans and NB friends I’ve become reasonably good at not addressing people’s gender.
It’s the same in French. Un and Une for items.. it’s why i love English. We don’t go Chair (f.) or Stool (m.), we just go Stool. Chair. It also helps in the case mentioned in the comics. I hope other languages can find a way to help nonbinary/agender people
