I drew this in April of 2019. The actual surgery might not happen ’till 2021 or 2022. I’m hoping to do a zine on it when it does happen… eventually.

What area are you in? There’s a really good top surgeon in San Francisco who can do long-distance consultations and stuff, I only had to make a trip out the day before surgery for an in-person meeting so he could get a look at what he was working with and we could talk details, then of course the day of the surgery itself and later on coming back to have the drainage stuff removed after about a week.
I’m in Canada and I’ve already been approved to have my surgery paid through OHIP, it’s just a very long wait but I’d rather wait than pay $9000 for it.
I’m really interested in this zine, if it happens. I know kids who might want top surgery one day (I’m a schoolteacher, and not all my students are cis), and it’s a fascinating world to be in, knowing this is available to them. I hope all goes well with you, and the wait isn’t overly long. Anything you feel appropriate to share with us is more than enough.
