when i realized haircuts were a thing in like middle school i thought i just had to get the tips trimmed and keep it the same? i didn’t know what style i wanted because all of the “female” looks in the books didn’t interest me. i didn’t want to put any work in, so i kept it long, straight, and parted in the middle (it is an awful look). eventually i realized i wanted bangs (emo phase) and black hair. my mom wouldn’t let me go dark and instead made me get highlights. she still won’t let me go dark, but i’ve tried a couple wild colors and fought her to finally get a true undercut. next hurdle is aiming for chocolate hair and hopefully full black after that!
