God I had this EXACT same thing happen to me. Waiting for takeout at a restaurant and they call my order up, I hear this gay couple behind me go “is that ours?” “No, I think that’s *his*”
Like, it shouldn’t normally bother me I’m using he/they pronouns, but we’re directly outside of the pride parade, you’re gay, and I’m wearing a dress and makeup how did they jump to that conclusion?!?!
Weirdly, it was at Pride that I most often got misgendered. People thought I was trans the other direction I guess. I’m just an afab andro man.
