I’m 40 years old and have identified as a lesbian for 26 of those years. I’m juuuuuuust realizing that I’m probably nonbinary. But I’m so attached to my lesbian identity, and so used to a female body and female pronouns, that I’m hesitant to explore it. These comics are very helpful for me, in how much of myself I see in them.
Especially this one. I’m a writer, and 90% of my writing and RP characters are straight cis men. That’s … kinda telling, I guess.
Thank you so much for sharing your life and insight, Jey!
You can be a lesbian and nonbinary! I’m nonbinary and specifically *not* a lesbian, but I know some nonbinary lesbians! Doesn’t make them any less of a lesbian and doesn’t make them any less nonbinary!
I made a gender-indifferent androsexual gynoromantic penis-having character and I keep wondering if I’m being insensitive towards trans people by wanting to play them… I also wonder how they would feel towards other non-binary and trans people sexually/romantically… since I didn’t get to play them much, I didn’t get to explore their personality
I keep making nb dnd characters and hoping my group takes the hint
me, rping 37 gay boys: wow im so comfortable and happy portraying myself like this!
me, four years later: ohhhhh, im… my gender… okay. that makes sense.
