I’m always so scared okay? I don’t stand out as a trans person to most cis people, but I still worry for my more visibly trans friends. I’m always on edge when I hear about someone being killed in the news. It could always be someone I know and that’s absolutely terrifying. Our lives matter too!

In the US Walmart has “family restrooms”, which are usable by anyone, and some smaller retailers have switched to having male/female on both restrooms were you just use which ever is available regardless of gender. As a cis male these are just nice to have available but I can see were they would be important to the trans community. My suggestion is when you find businesses that offer them that contact them and use positive reinforcement to let them know it matters.
I’m so confused by people being angry at the idea of a non-gendered bathroom.
I don’t know what those people are going in there to do, but I certainly intend to use it to get rid of waste from my system to be more comfortable.
Is their house toilet gender specific? Does the bathtub or shower require you to present genitals before opening?
actually I kinda want to start challenging anyone opposing this by going “how many toilets in your house?” and if more than one “so how do you stop any [other genders] using the other one?”
“It doesn’t affect me, so it’s not a problem.” That is the mindset of those people and it needs to stop. Just because they are not part of a particular group of individuals does not give them the right brush that group off and downplay their fears/concerns.
