Swim On is a yearly charity zine dedicated to shark preservation. All proceeds the zine makes go directly to sharksavers.org<\/p>\n

The zine will go up on https:\/\/topazcomics.com\/swimon<\/a> for $1+ (pay what you can)
\nAll Swim On zines can be found at https:\/\/topazcomics.com\/swimon\/downloads<\/a><\/p>\n

All artists at any skill level are welcome to apply!
\nEveryone who applies will receive an email, so be sure to add swimon@topazcomics.com<\/a> to your accepted emails list<\/p>\n

Submission Guidelines<\/strong>
\n– Your piece must be 6\u201dx9\u201d (1800x2700px) at 300dpi JPG or PNG in RGB
\n– There is no theme the zine, just sharks!
\n– A shark must be the focus of the piece (humans & other animals are allowed to be present)
\n– You must submit a full completed piece, no rough sketches, or blank white backgrounds will be accepted
\n– Comics, traditional and digital artwork are all accepted
\n– You are welcome to submit more than one piece
\n– Only new pieces will be accepted, please do not submit a piece that you have made previously
\n– Lesser known species are encouraged!
\n– For species examples check out this site: https:\/\/www.sharks.org\/species<\/a>
\n– No anthropomorphic sharks
\n– No nsfw content (including gore, death, blood – this is a G-rated zine)<\/p>\n

Applying<\/strong>
\nYou will need to provide 1 url to showcase your work. This can be a tumblr, instagram, google drive, etc.
\nPlease:
\n– make sure your work is easily accessible and easy to find on your website of choice
\n– showcase that you can finish a full illustration or comic page
\n– you do not have to have drawn sharks before to apply
\n– you can change your credit name or url once the rough pdf is sent out
\n– you will receive a copy of the application after you apply
\n– this zine\u2019s communication is through email only, there will not be a discord.<\/p>\n

\nMay 06 – Call for artists opens
\nMay 20 – Call for artists closes
\nMay 27 – Artists Announced
\nJuly 15 \u2013 Submissions are DUE
\nJuly 29 \u2013 Rough PDF is sent to artists\/adjustments made
\nAugust 5 \u2013 Zine goes live
\nSeptember 5 \u2013 Artists can post their full pieces publicly
\nSeptember 30 \u2013 All proceeds donated to sharksavers.org<\/p>\n
